FirstIt’s been 40 years since our founder Ronnie Fraser, with son Colin, opened the doors of the business in a small unit in home town of Strathaven with £20k capital, the 2 employees and big ideas.

Driven by demand, the team expands with Michael Lydon joining as Workshop Manager

which proves to be the start of a long & fruitful relationship with Michael to this day being a key component of the management team and invaluable to the success & smooth running of the business.

2006. Retention of staff has always been a core value of Fraser Tool Hire and we were delighted to acknowledge the first decade of our Accounts Controller, Avril Carmichael – who controls the financials of our business to this day, 27 years on.

Very sadly 2007 saw founder and driving force, Ronnie Fraser, succumb to illness which ultimately led to his death. A devastating blow to the whole family, workforce and friends alike, but his legacy lives on.

2013. The 30th Anniversary was proudly celebrated with a presentation by JCB to Colin and his mother, Anna Mae Fraser, at a ‘day at the races’ for the workforce.
